Pearls from the collections of the Lahti Art Museum

Pearls from the collections of the Lahti Art Museum, edited by Tuija Vertainen, is a wonderfully illustrated piece of information that sheds light on the history and present of the museum's art collections. The book follows the development of the collections from Vyborg in the 1930s to today's Päijanne Tavastia. The Lahti Art Museum was founded in 1950 around the collections of the former Vyborg Art Museum, and its collection policy role has developed from their patron to the appreciation of local contemporary art.
