The multidisciplinary collection of articles offers fresh perspectives on members of the Holma family, their research work, the art collection as well as its individual works.
A total of 14 authors were involved, all from leading experts in their fields. Extensive visual material complements the research results and provides a selected overview of the works in the collection.
The most notable of these include Jacques-Louis David's sketch for his best-known Oath of Horatii (1785). The collection also includes a lot of works or objects by unknown artists, which are exceptional in Finnish collections - these include capital, which represents the Romanesque style from the beginning of the 13th century.
The collection of scientific articles has been edited by prof. Visa Immonen from the University of Turku and prof. Elina Räsänen from the University of Helsinki.
This book is in Finnish.
